Welcome to Synapse! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Synapse mobile application. By using our app, you agree to these rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who Can Use Synapse?

You must be at least 13 years old to use Synapse. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app and agree to these Terms.

2. Subscriptions & Payments

Synapse offers premium features via auto-renewing subscriptions handled by Google Play.

• Free Trial: We offer a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged automatically.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
• Cancellations: You can cancel anytime directly through your Google Play account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
• Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable. Refund requests are handled entirely by Google Play policies.

3. AI & Generated Content (Disclaimer)

Synapse uses advanced Artificial Intelligence (Google Vertex AI) to generate quizzes and flashcards.

• AI can sometimes make mistakes or hallucinate facts.
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the generated content before relying on it for exams, medical, legal, or critical decisions.
• We do not guarantee the 100% accuracy of the generated study materials.

4. Acceptable Use (The Rules)

You agree to use Synapse for your personal, non-commercial learning. You MAY NOT:

• ✗ Reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the app
• ✗ Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data or generate packs
• ✗ Share, sell, or transfer your premium account to others
• ✗ Use the app to generate or process illegal, hateful, explicit, or harmful content

5. Our Intellectual Property

We own the App: The Synapse app, its code, design, logos, and features belong to us.

Your Feedback: If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, we can use them to improve the app without any compensation to you.

6. Termination & App Availability

We aim to keep Synapse running 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service (servers need maintenance).

We reserve the right to suspend or ban your account without notice if you violate these Terms or attempt to abuse the AI limits.

7. Limitations of Liability

Synapse is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost data, poor exam grades, device issues, or indirect damages resulting from your use of the app.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Egypt.
